ALFA's Winter Gala is a tradition to many community members where memories are made and remembered every year. Now in it's 21st year, Winter Gala is a kick off to the holidays for many. The evening features a four course meal with wine pairings, pre-dinner cocktails and holiday music. Every year ALFA presents the Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams Legacy Award to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in support of HIV/AIDS services in our local community.

ALFA's mission is to improve the lives and health of those affected by HIV/AIDS while preventing transmission through education and testing. ALFA serves Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Lincoln, Watauga and Wilkes counties.

ALFA is a United Way member agency providing HIV Medical Case Management, Prevention Education, and HIV Testing.
